Hi! I’m MariVanda.
Bred in Atlanta, I grew up in Cabbagetown and Decatur. I spend most of my off-time exploring nature, creating art in several mediums, recycling everything possible, and trying to fix, tinker, and improve upon everything I own.
I began apprenticing in 2012 at Sacred Heart Tattoo. Now, years later, I am lovingly tattooing Atlantans and travelers alike, here at Live Free Tattoo.
My designs are based on nature, my environment/surroundings, people I know, the planet, the universe, and personal experiences. I’m inspired by Appalachian books, old woven fabric patterns, the natural world, recycling, stained glass, 70s decor and spirit, the early and mid days of biker culture, acid, mushrooms, and all-encompassing positivity. I enjoy tattooing a variety of subject matter, but especially mushrooms and frogs in any style. I love bold traditional tattoos, tiny illustrative-realistic animals, bold patterns, dot-work mandalas, and plants. I’m always up for a whacky challenging idea. Let me tattoo your palms!!
