Greetings, I’m Paul. I started learning how to tattoo in the suburbs of Detroit in 2002 while I was still in high school. I can’t say enough about how much I love tattooing or for all of the different the reasons why, but I’ll talk about a couple in particular. At such a young age nobody really understands who they are yet, and tattooing provided me with extensive traveling opportunities that led me to meet a wide array of fascinating characters that helped me discover who I really was and helped shape who I wanted to be. And secondly it led me to have personal interactions daily with a wide array of clients from all walks of life and find a common thread in all of us, no matter what demographic or socioeconomic background we come from. At some point, we have to spend an hour in the chair together and find a way to relate. As far as the art itself, I enjoy the use of a bold color palette but also love the timeless look of black and grey. I’m fascinated by the history, tradition, and rich imagery of traditional Japanese tattooing but I love illustrating through an American traditional style while paying homage to my appreciation for pulp art and pop art. I came up in a street shop with flash on the wall, and the need to be able to tackle just about any desire from any client, so I’d say my style is a “Jack of all trades, master of none” overall. I hope to give you a tattoo and an experience in this beautiful shop that puts a smile on your face long after you’ve walked out the door. I hope to tattoo you soon!
